Unique Wally Troy Roadster on JamesList
Limited editions are probably the easiest way to turn heads in the luxury world, and what's more limited than just one? Last fall, we featured two cars from 2shores Classic Cars and its head honcho, Jurgen Rott. Now, Jurgen's back with something special. This 1959 Troy Roadster was the result of one man's dream to build the ultimate street legal race car.
Wally Troy, who had made his name as the first Jaguar dealer in Illinois, had an eye for detail & quality unmatched by his contemporary colleagues. Day and night he worked on this Euro-inspired aluminum racer that turned quite a few heads – even back then. It was even featured in the automotive magazines of yore, such as the 1960 issue of Hot Rod Magazine pictured below.
The current owner got a hold of this beauty in 1975 and put in it storage for almost two decennia. It was then meticulously restored with as much love & care that originally went into building it all those years ago. This green beast is currently in America with the price being available on request.
